Simply amazing!

First of all, let me explain why a machine like this was very important to me. In Spain we dubbed everything, but sometimes that dubbed track gets lost because the rights and/or distribution over a movie, tv show, castoons, etc… changes. So I search and rescue those dubbed tracks, that most of the times were preserved during the 70’s and 80’s using VHS/BETAMAX/V2000 tapes, transferring the film reel that was use at the cinema. So I heard about the machine Tony built when I was looking for a RTI TC-490 VHS Cleaner (very expensive and not as effective as Tony’s machine), because most of the time these tapes are in very bad condition.
So I was doing the cleaning by hand and it was taking me like 3 hours. I checked reviews and Tony’s youtube videos, and because the price was very competitive I bought it.
Now, I reduced a 3 hours work to less than 5 minutes. Sometimes a little bit more because I have to use a very slow speed and I have to clean both sides of the tape. This is one of the positive points here, because with this machine you can control speed, the reel direction and clean both sides of the tape.
I love its simplicity, very easy to use and at the same time very complete to do a great clean job of your tapes.
Another very important positive point with this machine is that you can clean different formats. In my case I bought the different spindlers for the formats I need (VHS and BETA, because the VHS spindler works for the V2000 model), which are super easy to change.
If you are going to do the cleaning in a room, I recommend you to buy de desktop vacuum, too. I bought it just in case and what a life saviour. It helps you to control the mold particles to be retain and not flying around causing you health issues.
I’ve been using the machine every day since mid February (when I receive it) and it works perfectly like the first day.
If you are not living in USA I recommend you to buy the PEC-PAD Lint free wipes, too. Because in Spain and UK (where I’m based) these wipes are not easy to find or they are more expensive than Tony’s price.
Because I’m not in the USA it’s great that you can use the machine only adding an adaptor for your country. So, if you live abroad don’t worry, because the machine will work and you don’t have to worry about buying a power convertor. The one from the machine goes from 100 to 240.
